Welcome — I’m Shanna Chismark, founder of Opal Skin Studio. I provide comfort-focused skincare designed for sensitive, reactive, barrier-impaired, and hormonally fluctuating skin. My approach prioritizes hydration, barrier repair, and deep relaxation — creating treatments that feel restorative without overwhelming the skin. In addition to serving the general public, I have advanced training in oncology-informed skincare. This allows me to thoughtfully support clients experiencing treatment-related dryness or sensitivity during cancer care and survivorship when appropriate. I was recently featured on FOX30 / Action News Jax and spotlighted by the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Jags Social, highlighting my commitment to comfort-first skincare and supportive wellness within our community. ⸻ If You Are in Active Treatment Many services can be provided during active treatment and throughout survivorship with proper intake screening and physician clearance when indicated. If you are currently receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation, have had recent infusions, open areas, active irritation, or a port/site in the treatment area, please message me before booking so we can determine the safest timing and precautions for your skin. ⸻ Scope of Practice Services provided are non-medical skincare treatments intended to support comfort and improve the appearance and feel of the skin. I do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. When appropriate, I may recommend physician clearance or refer you to your medical care team.

Cancellation Policy

At Opal Skin Studio, each appointment is reserved especially for you. As a small, independently owned business, every booking matters. When appointments are missed or canceled at the last minute, it not only impacts your esthetician but also prevents other clients from receiving care during that time. 48-Hour Notice: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This gives us the opportunity to offer the time to another client. •Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 20%of the scheduled service fee.
